 As the New Administration promises to rebuild a new America what does that really mean for the Acquisition environment?  Come join the NCMA Woodlawn Chapter lunch and learn event to learn about several trending topics that revolve around the future of acquisition spending. Our panel members are all well versed in their area of expertise that focuses on procurement regulations and policies, strategic partnering, the GSA Schedule, and many other procurement topics! 

Our panel of experts includes:

Kathryn Flood, Attorney (Contracting Law) from Piliero Mazza, PLLC.

Katie Flood advises contractors on a wide range of government contracting matters and compliance with the FAR, including the federal procurement programs for small businesses.  Her experience includes protests, claims, and appeals before the GAO, the COFC, the SBA, and the ASBCA.  Ms. Flood counsels and advises clients on matters including contract negotiation issues; small business procurement matters; Small Business Subcontracting Plan compliance; issues related to the GSA FSS program; and Service Contract Act compliance issues.  She also drafts and reviews teaming agreements, subcontracts, joint venture agreements, mentor-protégé agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and contractor team arrangements. 

Nichole Atallah, Attorney (Contracting Law) from Piliero Mazza, PLLC.

Nichole Atallah counsels clients in a broad range of employment matters, including compliance with Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA/wage & hour, FMLA, wrongful termination and reduction in force.  Ms. Atallah advises clients in general business matters including interpreting and drafting  employee compensation and benefit arrangements, confidentiality, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements and separation agreements.  When necessary, she zealously defends clients faced with a wide range of lawsuits and claims, from wrongful termination to contract disputes. Ms. Atallah has worked extensively with clients in complying with the Fair Labor Standards Act, Service Contract Act, the Davis Bacon-Act and associated labor regulations, many unique to government contractors. She assists clients through Department of Labor compliance audits and investigations and works proactively with clients to establish and maintain effective human resource policies that discourage employment disputes and lawsuits. Additionally, Ms. Atallah vigorously advocates on behalf of her clients that have a unionized workforce, assisting them during collective bargaining, labor-management disputes, and disputes pending before the National Labor Relations Board. Her goal in representing employers is to help retain management rights and avoid costly disputes. 

Bradley Saull, Vice President, Civilian Agencies, Professional Services Council. 

Bradley is the lead for the association’s Civilian Agencies Council, which is PSC’s primary platform for engagement on policy and market issues facing the vast array of civilian departments and agencies from Homeland Security, to Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services, Energy and more.  Bradley is a former Congressional Staffer, Consultant, and Deputy White House Liaison for the Department of Homeland Security.
